Radiation Oncology

Our radiation oncology services are provided at three primary locations - the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Herrick Campus in Berkeley, at the Alta Bates Campus (Alta Bates Campus Map & Directions) in Berkeley, and at the Radiation Therapy Services Department at the Summit Campus in Oakland.

Inpatient Cancer Services

Our inpatient services for cancer treatment are located on the 4NE Hematology/Oncology unit of the Alta Bates Campus (Alta Bates Campus Map & Directions) in Berkeley and on the 2N Oncology unit of the Summit Campus - Merritt Pavilion (Summit Campus Map & Directions) in Oakland. Due to the acute patient care that occurs on these units, we recommend that instead of calling each unit, you talk with your oncologist about our inpatient cancer services prior to hospitalization. You may also use the Visiting Us section of our website to get general information about patient rooms, what to bring, patient safety, disabled patient/visitor services, and visiting hours – among other hospitalization topics.

How to Contact an Inpatient
To contact a patient who is hospitalized on one of our cancer care units, please call the appropriate campus phone number below and ask for the patient by first and last name or by room number. Your call will be transferred by the Operator to their hospital room.
